My Krathong :D

Ladies of all ages walk on the stage to battle for the title "Nang Noppamas" (Miss Loy Krathong)

People concentrate especially in Lucky Draw!!

Make a wish, before floating "Krathong"

Loy Loy Loy ...Krathong

In November on the night of the full moon, thai people celebrate "Loy Krathong."

Loy is a thai word mean "to float", Krathong refer to a small raft decorated by banana leaves and flowers. Thai offer Krathong to pay respect to the goddess of water. Couples float their Krathong together in hope of a brighter future of their relationship. Singles float their Krathong in hope of finding new or remindling lost love.

Loy Krathong is one of the most beautiful festivals in Thailand! :D

Aruan I never saw it before, but I heard about it many times... Thank You Lin for Your (better and better!) photos :) This with woman near water is great! Only some blur and colors but it's typical for not SLR cameras. But Your "eye", way how to show it - great!

huiching Lovely Loy Krathong shots. The candles are so bright.
At my place the wind was so strong, could hardly light the fire.
So we simply let it float in the dark. Haha...

Happy Loy Krathong to you too!
